Francis "Ed" Edward Westover

Francis “Ed” Edward Westover, age 78 of Middlefield, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1940 in Westover, Pennsylvania, son of the late LaRue Sr. and Carrie (Kelly) Westover. He married Barbara Bogel June 24, 1961 and lived in Middlefield. He owned his own Janitorial Service called Westover Cleaning since 1965. Ed was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Barbara to almost all 50 states and staying in Lakeland, Florida. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going to watch Cardinal High School sports.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife Barbara of 58 years, three children, Robin (David) Carney, Edward Westover, and Jeffery (Carla) Westover, seven grandchildren, Aaron (Jordan Callahan) Carney, Marcus (Abigail) Carney, Melinda (Vince) Altiero, Chelsea (Justin) Laferriere, Alyssa Westover, Peter Westover, and Nora Westover, two great grandchildren, Giada Altiero and Lincoln Laferriere, and his sister Mary Westover.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Carrie Westover, Grace Green, and Edna Beck, and six brothers, Herschel, LaRue, Milton, Richard, Clyde, Robert, and a baby boy Westover.

Calling hours will be held 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2019 and Monday, May 20th, 10:00 AM until the Celebration of his Life at 11:00 AM, all at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062. Burial will be at Middlefield Cemetery.
