Ethel Mansfield, 91 of Hamden Township, passed away Thursday August 6, 2020 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1928 in Cleveland to the late Joseph and Louise (Bailey) Friihauf. Ethel graduated from Chagrin Falls High School in 1947 where she was in numerous clubs and productions. Ethel went to Carnegie Technical School to become a Medical Assistant. She was a file clerk until she married the love of her life, Howard L. Mansfield, on June 7, 1950. She then became a homemaker taking care of her loving family. Ethel enjoyed reading, listening to music, especially Hymns, Bible studies, travel, and regional tours.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Howard, daughter Kathleen (John) Marn, and son Denis Mansfield. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son John Mansfield, an infant brother Robert, and sisters Ruth Anne Puzder, and Helen Friihauf.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Chester Township Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Kubichek officiating.
