Emma Hershberger, 80 years and 2 days old, of West Farmington, passed away at Burton Health Care Center, Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born August 20, 1941, to the late Roman and Martha (Byler) Hershberger in Burton, Ohio. She lived in Mesopotamia for many years and settled in West Farmington. She was a member of the Old Order Amish. Emma enjoyed cooking, baking, embroidery, and yardwork. She was a dedicated volunteer and member of the West Farmington Senior Center for over 20 years, spending many, many hours working on projects that helped fund the Center and enjoyed spending time there with her friends there.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Linda Hershberger, two brothers, Crist (Clara), Chester (Linda), three sisters, Alma (Bill) Byler, Betty (Albert) Detweiler, Mary (Allen) Detweiler, and many families and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Olin Hershberger.
Calling hours will be held at 17835 Bradford Rd., West Farmington, August 23, 2021, Monday until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 17881 Bradford Rd., West Farmington, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 9:30 AM. The Celebrant will be Bishop Melvin Ray Miller. Burial will be at Troyer Cemetery in West Farmington.
