Emma Frenchak 101 of Middlefield, formerly of Garfield Heights, Ohio passed away Thursday May 28, 2020 at Ohman Family Living at Briar in Middlefield. She was born September 17, 1918 in Cleveland to the late John and Elizabeth (Czako) Dienes. She graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1936. She worked at Perchan’s Ice Cream & Hamburgers where she met the love of her life, and after two years of dating married Michael Frenchak on August 12, 1939. She went back to work, after the kids were old enough. She started at Peter’s Bakery and then worked fulltime at Cleveland Trust Bank in the mortgage Department. She retired in 1982. She credits her longevity to eating right, watching her weight, walking, and being a hard worker. She would tell her grandchildren “Remember what you put into life is what you will get out of life”. Emma enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Dale J. (Betty) Frenchak, grandchildren, Monica Myers, Jim Frenchak, Suzy (David) Rak, Michelle Frenchak, great grandson, Justin (Krista) Frenchak, and a great great grandson, Garrett Frenchak. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Frenchak, son, Michael Frenchak, sisters, Betty MacCurdy, Rose Dienes, brothers, Ladd Dienes, John Dienes, Paul Dienes, William Dienes and a great granddaughter, Raine Myers.
Calling hours will be held Friday June 5, 2020 from 3:00 PM until the time of her Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to husband in Crown Hill Cemetery Twinsburg, Ohio at a later date during a private service.
