Eleanor Jane (Elek) Vargo

Eleanor Jane Vargo 90 of Middlefield passed away Saturday April 1, 2023 at Ohman Family Living at Briar.  She was born October 2, 1932, in Cleveland to the late Charles and Eleanor (Bury) Vargo.  She was a former member of Bedford Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends. Eleanor was a cook for Bedford Schools for many years.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Jim (Linda) Vargo, John (Sheryl) Vargo, Bill (Pat) Vargo, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Emery J. Vargo, daughter, Mary Vargo, her granddaughter, Shannon, and a brother, Richard Elek.  

Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062. A Private burial will be at Middlefield Cemetery at a later date.
