Dorothy Ann (nee March) Mullet, of Burton, passed away at her home, Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was surrounded by family as she transitioned with ease from this life to the next. She was born September 8, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Andrew and a daughter Anita Mullet.
Dody, as her family called her, was raised in Jefferson, Ohio. She was the youngest of 7 siblings, born to Don and Ida (Valentine) March. She attended Jefferson schools. As a lifetime learner, she completed several courses at Kent State University in Burton.
She lived her life with a loving and generous heart. She married Andrew Mullet of Burton Station on December 18, 1948. They shared nearly 50 years of marriage, until his death on September 14, 1998. Together they raised seven children and additionally, fostered two young adults. She worked hard as a wife, mother, and neighbor, creating a home, forming children into adults, and contributing to her community. She was a past member of the Burton Fire Department Auxiliary and had been previously served as a pianist for her church. Dorothy was a creative, multifaceted woman, demonstrating skill in quilting and also in painting with acrylics. She enjoyed gardening and the feel of the sun on her face.
She is survived by her children: Barbara (Milan) Pelton, Mary-Ann (Ron) Plitt, Daniel (Kim) Mullet, Martin (Susan) Mullet, Tina (Tom) Mooney, and Jeanne (John) Carlock. Survivors also include grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother-in-law and beloved nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received on Saturday April 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of her life which will be held at 11:00 AM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street Middlefield, Ohio 44062. A private family burial at Slitor Cemetery will take place at a later date.
