Dorothy Mae (Knapp) Dolsen

Dorothy Mae Dolsen, age 99 of Burton, passed away at The Residence of Chardon Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was born on June 19, 1921 in Cleveland, daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Comstock) Knapp. Dorothy married Robert Dolsen and they lived in Chardon for years. She was a paper carrier for Geauga Times Leader and loved spending time in her flower garden.

She loved traveling and went to Japan, Australia and she also rode a camel in Egypt. She enjoyed making Sunday pot roast for her family, whom she loved, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly.

Dorothy is survived by her son William (Donna) Dolsen, three daughters, Susan (William) Fluhr, Diane Dolsen, and Joanne Dolsen; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at The Residence of Chardon and Crossroad Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Dorothy.

A private graveside service will be held at East Claridon Cemetery.
