Diane Mixer 88 of Burton Township passed away Sunday February 27, 2022, at Ohman Family Living at Holly with her daughters at her side. She was born January 31, 1934, in Cleveland to the late Kenneth and Helen (Jones) Newell. Diane graduated from Lakewood High School and from Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburg, PA, as Lab Technician where she continued to work at the hospital before moving back to Ohio working for many Doctor’s offices as their Office Manager. She was an avid horse rider, enjoyed bird watching, and gardening. She was very proud of her red rhododendron bush.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Kelly Costanzo of Akron, Kimberly Mixer (Ted) Yarish of Burton, Kate (Ray) Ritchie of Claridon, her two grandchildren, Sierra and Carson Costanzo, sister, Sally (Richard) Siciliano of Burton, brother, Dyke (Carol) Stockslager of Florida, sister-in-law, Dorothy Stockslager, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Edgar Mixer, Jr., son John “Skip” Mixer, and brother, John Stockslager.
Her family would like to give a special Thank You to all her friends and neighbors for their help and support.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Diane loved animals and meals on wheels.
Per her wishes, there will be no services.
