Dennis “Denny” L. Wildman 78 of Mesopotamia was called home June 22, 2025, to join his family and friends in Heaven. He was born October 3, 1946, in Warren to the late Kenneth and Sophie Wildman.
Denny was married for 25 years to the Love of his life Barbara Wildman. He was known for his big, youthful heart, warm smile, storytelling, mischief and laughter.
Denny loved spending time working on vehicles in the garage with his son Dennis. He enjoyed mowing yards, his animals and early morning coffee visits with his friends at the End of The Commons.
He is a proud Vietnam Veteran and Retired from GE as Union President in 2002. After that he drove Taxi for 20 years where he made many good friends. He was a member of the VFW and was always eager to pitch in when someone was in need. He nicknamed his great nephew Briggs Paridon “Zip” because as Denny said it, “he was the fastest baby in the world “zipping” across the living room”.
Denny leaves behind his Soulmate, anchor, and loving wife, Barbara Wildman, his son, Dennis (Kathy) Wildman Jr. Stepchildren, Rhoda (Bruce) Taylor, Jesse Lee (Tabitha) Reed Jr., Step Grandchildren, Brent (Brittany) Socie, Brandon Reed, Craig Brown (Brianna Starcher), and Desiree Brown (Sam Kriebel),
He also leaves behind a niece and nephew, Vic (Christine) Sutton and Yvonne (Mark) Smith, and many great nieces and nephews, Victor (Chloe) Sutton, Marissa (Jason) Paridon. Caitlin (Frank) Moll, Marcus (Anthony) Smith; Stepdaughter, Janet (Tim) Clisby Keeney and Step Grandson Jordan (Tayler) Gunnoe. His entire immediate and extended family loved him very much. He was preceded by his parents, and his beloved sister Patricia Mullenax.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 PM until his Funeral Service at 5:00 PM on Thursday June 26, 2025, at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062. Pastor Jody Baker will be officiating. Military Honors will follow the service by the Army Honor Guard.
