David C Wachhaus

David C. Wachhaus, 91, of Middlefield, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the David Simpson Hospice in Cleveland, Ohio.

David was born on December 18, 1932, to the late Adam and Louise (Ihle) Wachhaus in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Collingwood High School and served our country in the Army during the Korean War. David married his late wife Janet and together they raised their 4 children. He was the vice president of maintenance at Key Bank, as well as a life member of the VFW, an AMVET, and member of the Burton American Legion. David enjoyed golfing, playing games on his tablet, and serving as a deacon at Shore Haven Lutheran Church. 

David will be greatly missed by his children, Wayne (Patty), Paul (Joy), Laura (Chris), and Susan, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife.

Calling hours will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield on Thursday evening, September 5, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 PM. The funeral will be Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Davis officiating.  The burial will be immediately following the service at Middlefield Cemetery.
