Daniel James Tucker

Daniel James Tucker, 83, of Chardon, formerly of Huntsburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024, at UH Geauga Medical Center. Daniel was born on April 23, 1941, to Arthur and Doris (Matthews) Tucker in Claridon, Ohio. He graduated from Berkshire high School and went on to marry Susan (Ponyik) in November 1968. Daniel was a chemical technician for Brooks Technology in Cleveland.

Daniel was very active in his community. He delivered meals on wheels; he played the piano and sang at his church and local nursing homes. He liked to square dance and take walks.

Daniel will be greatly missed by his family, his 3 children Rachael (Rich) Zigarovich, Aaron (Beth) Tucker, Paul (Marissa) Tucker, grandchildren Jacob, Luke, Olivia, Joseph (Gaby), Megan, Isaiah, Macy, Carter and great grandson Levi, and many nieces and nephews.

Other then his parents, his was preceded in death by his wife Susan and sister Katherine.

Memorial calling hours and service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024,  from 2:00 PM until his service at 4:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street Middlefield. with Rev. Mary Ellen Hoffman officiating. 

Memorial donation can be made in his name to First Congregational Church of Claridon, 13942 Mayfield Road Huntsburg, Ohio 44046.
