Daniel Keith Patterson, 71 of Burton passed away Monday January 17, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He was born July 27, 1950, in Chardon to the late John and Iris (McDivitt) Patterson. He graduated from Burton High School in 1968 and married the love of his life Dale R. Thomas on December 11, 1971. Daniel worked as a foreman in the lab at Burton Rubber Company. He loved spending time with his family, friends, but especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, collecting antique bottles, and hunting for Morel Mushrooms. Daniel was a great storyteller, everyone enjoyed listening to his memories of growing up on the family farm, coon hunting with his grand dad, getting into mischief with his buddies, and so many more! He was also known to have a green thumb, proudly growing many varieties of Hostas.
Dan was an amazing husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Dale R. Patterson, son, Dan (Reanna) Patterson of Diana, WV, daughters, Dawn Patterson (John Harris) of Burton, Dena (Dominic) Brezo of W. Farmington, 8 grandchildren, Ian Patterson, Riley & Trent Hornak, Samantha & Cameron Schwendeman, Colton Brezo, Haley & Dean Patterson, siblings, Tom (Cheryl) Patterson of North Canton, Jeannine Thompson of Mentor, Mike (Yvonne) Patterson of Florida, Anita Anderson of Chardon, Jack (Marlene) Richardson of Burton, Roy (Jacci) Thomas of Arizona, Forrest (Laurie) McGowan of Burton, Marylou Wolf of Aurora, and several nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday January 29 2022, from 1:00 PM until his Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062.
