Dale E. Bowman, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Dale was born to Charles and Clara (Taylor) Bowman on December 10, 1934, in Chesterville, Ohio. Dale was a resident of Concord Twp. , Ohio and a former resident of Burton, Ohio for many years,
In 1953, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Ann (Curtis) Bowman.
Together, they shared a life full of joy and adventure, raising a wonderful family. Dale was a proud father to his children, Phil Bowman, Greg (Marti) Bowman, Nancy (Bruce) Dayton, Debbie (John) Wachter, Donna (Kim) Faust, Julie Maddox-Bowman, Tracy (Barry) Allen and John Bowman, along with his 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, his parents and siblings Gerald Bowman, Edith Baker and Wilbur Bowman.
In his later years, Dale found companionship and developed a loving relationship with Penny Gyure.
Dale graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science jn Commerce. He began his career a BF Goodrich. He then became Vice President at Snap-Out Forms in Chardon, Ohio. In the late 1970's Dale became Chief Financial Officer at Van Dorn in Strongsville. In his later years, Dale became a self-employed business consultant as well as working with his son at Premier Pump.
A man of many interests, Dale enjoyed square dancing, traveling, biking and various hobbies. His passion for learning and innovation made him an active member of the National Association of Accountants (NAA), and the experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). As a ham radio operator and model train enthusiast, Dale found joy in connecting with others and engaging with the world in unique ways.
Dale will be greatly missed by his family, his children and many friends.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30 A.M. until his Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Welton Cemetery in Burton, Ohio. Pastor Bob Richardson will be officiation the services.
