Cindy Hewins, 65, of Olmsted Twp, formerly of Middlefield, was called home Sunday morning, December 19, 2021 just after midnight. Cindy was born September 21, 1956, in Chardon. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hewins who was co-owner of H&H Hardware in Middlefield, OH. She is survived by her wonderful companion, Joe Kives; Mother, Shirley Hewins; Sisters Charlotte Hewins, Cathy (Mark) Wiley, Colleen (Cliff) Shepard; Sons, Gary McDivitt, Craig (Stacy) McDivitt; Grandchildren, Mason and Mack McDivitt, Kiarra, Kayli, and was a friend of Bill W.
Cindy graduated Cardinal High School, class of 74, married her high school sweetheart, had two boys, and started Studio for Hair in Middlefield. She was an accomplished artist, writer, seamstress, and cook.
She loved spending time with her sisters, mother and Joe with whom she bought a home. She babysat her grandsons, who loved her dearly, every Saturday. Cindy could talk to anyone and make them comfortable in her presence. She also made the world’s best banana cream pie.
Due to the new covid outbreak, the family asks that family and close friends attend the calling hours which will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 12:00 PM until the time of her Funeral service at 2:00 PM at Sly Funeral Home in Middlefield with burial directly to follow in Middlefield Cemetery.
