Christopher Ely Obituary
Christopher J Ely, 34, of Huntsburg, passed away Saturday May 2, 2020 at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born to George and Martha (Miller) Ely March 10, 1986. Chris graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to work for Kent State University as an academic lab coordinator. He was a very kindhearted man, loved science and sci fi books and movies. He had been a dinosaur lover since age two and cooked phenomenal Chinese stir fry’s.
Chris is survived by his mother Martha Ely, brother Nolan Ely, sister Tiffany (Mark) Pride and nephew Taylor Pride. He was preceded in death by his father George Ely Jr., sister Sabrina Erin Ely, his paternal grandparents Audrey Leona Ely and George Ely Sr., paternal aunt Cathy, maternal grandparents Abe and Sarah Miller, and maternal aunt Ada.
A celebration of life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
