Charles A. “Butch” Dale, age 81 of Troy Township, passed away Friday morning, May 28, 2021 at Hospice of the Western Reserve. He was born on August 22, 1939 in Parkman, son of the late Charles James and Ruth (Atwood) Dale. Charles graduated with the first graduating class from Cardinal High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He married Rose Ann Fox on July 31, 1965 and they lived in Troy Township. They were married 52 loving years until before she passed away on June 1, 2017. Charles worked in shipping at Warren Tool in Garrettsville until he retired in 1999. He was a member of Burton American Legion and he loved giving his family a hard time.
Charles is survived by two sons, Charles J. Dale and Shane (Paula) Dale, two grandsons, Nicholas and Justin, his sister Edith Richmond, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Rose Ann, his granddaughter Sara, and seven siblings, Lottie Kuszmaul, Laverne Miller, Arthur Dale, Cecil R. Dale, Elwin “Bud” Dale, Glen Dale, and Florence “Peggy” Komandt.
A Graveside service will be held at Troy Township Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
