Charlene “Joanie” (Hillier) Swiger

Charlene “Joanie” Swiger, 62 of West Farmington passed away Thursday May 7, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.  She was born November 20, 1957 in Warren to Howard Hillier Sr. and Ann Hillier. She graduated from West Farmington High School in 1976. Joanie was very devoted to taking care of her family. She was the female Doctor Doolittle; taking care of all animals which would come to her home. 

She will be sadly missed by her parents, loving husband, Ray “Babe” Swiger Jr., son, Joe (Sarah Myers) Swiger, granddaughter, Calleigh Swiger, siblings, Howard (Renee) Hillier Jr, Judy (John) Martin, Jean Lang, Douglas (Stacy) Hillier, Jon (Pamela Sherman) Hillier, niece, Angela (Eric) Westfall, nephew, Ron Swiger, great niece, Paige Westfall and great nephew, Logan Westfall, several other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her nephew, Eric Swiger.  

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
