Catherine "Cathy" Szyska Obituary
Catherine S. Szyska, age 57 of Troy Township, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 8, 1963, daughter of the late Floyd Lee DeBord and Judy (Payne) DeBord Bohanon. Catherine graduated from West Farmington High School in 1981 and attended Tri C in Cleveland. She worked for White Brothers in Middlefield, The Middlefield Banking Co. in the Loan Dept., and did outside sales for the Horse Trader.
She married David Szyska on May 7, 1988, and they lived in Troy Twp. since 1987.
Catherine enjoyed sewing, knitting, and reading. She especially loved being with her family.
She will be missed by her loving family, her husband David, daughter Kelsey Szyska, her sister Deborah (Brian) Patrick, and two brothers, Jim, and Ken DeBord.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home in Middlefield. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd at Hillside Cemetery in West Farmington. Father Jay McPhillips will officiate.
