Carol Jean (Cross) Goddard

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday April 2, 2022 with a Celebration of Her Life 4:00 PM at West Farmington United Methodist Church, 220 West College Street, West Farmington, Ohio 44491.

Carol Jean Goddard, age 83 of West Farmington, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 7, 1938, in Bristolville, daughter of the late Carl A. and Doris (Becker) Cross. Carol was a graduate of Farmington High School in 1956. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kent State University in Ashtabula. Carol was a Registered Nurse for Geauga Medical Center and was a traveling Nurse for several years.

She was a member of the West Farmington United Methodist Church, The Woman Relief Hall Corp #104, past president of the Corp and was representative at the Wade VA Hospital. She held many stations in local and national Woman Relief Corp. She loved being a registered nurse and enjoyed traveling.

Carol is survived by her loving two sons, Thomas (Ruth A) Goddard of Vine Grove, KY, and Richard (Ruth E) Goddard of West Farmington, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two brothers, Howard Jack Cross of Bristolville and Harold James Cross of Kalispell, Montana.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul K Goddard who died in 1974, her parents, and two sisters, Joyce Rowland and Ruth Mary Morrison.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday April 2, 2022 with a Celebration of Her Life 4:00 PM at West Farmington United Methodist Church, 220 West College Street, West Farmington, Ohio 44491. Her final resting place was in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to West Farmington United Methodist Church, P O Box 93, West Farmington, OH 44491 or to a favorite charity of your choice.
