Beverly Stehlik Obituary

Beverly Ann (Tiffany) Stehlik of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away at her home Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born May 4, 1930, in Canandaigua, NY to the late Roland and Leah (Supplee) Tiffany. She graduated from Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, NY. Beverly married Donald J. Stehlik June 10, 1953. She worked at Boyce Motors Trucking Company as an accountant, the Brown Derby Restaurant as a hostess and waitress, May Company as manager of the Young Ohioan Department and store detective, Paul Harris as Manager of Security, and Sears, Roebuck & Co. as Manager of Security.  She also taught criminal justice classes at John Carroll University. She was the owner of Tiffany Antiques at Cedar and Lee in University Heights and later belonged to several antique co-ops, most recently Nauvoo Road Antiques. She also participated in the Burton Antique Show for many years.

Beverly was a self-taught mason, electrician, and plumber. She built two homes and renovated several others. Beverly raised sheep on her farm in Novelty and later in Mesopotamia where she held an annual festival at her Sheepscot Farm called Wool-Away Day where she and her family demonstrated spinning, weaving, and sheep shearing. There was also a shop where she sold many hand-made woolen items. She and her family also demonstrated spinning and weaving at the Geauga County Fair and participated in many competitions throughout the state. She belonged to the Northwest PA Spinners and Weavers Guild and was a long-time member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) where she served in various leadership positions for her local chapter. She also was the secretary for the Border Leicester Sheep Society.  Beverly was a talented crafter and was known for her old man figurines of Santas, Trappers, and Father Forest.

She will be sadly missed by her family: Penny Foley (Gary) of Macedon, NY, Richard Stehlik of West Farmington, Sandra Koscelnik (Don) of Roaming Shores, Thomas Stehlik (Christa) of Middlefield, Bonnie Conley (Dave) of West Farmington, James Stehlik (Tracy) of Whitehouse, Joseph Stehlik of Roaming Shores, daughter-in-law Mary Stehlik of Massillon, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Stehlik (The Clock Doc), her son Donald Jr., brothers George and Roland Jr. Tiffany, and grandsons Daniel Koscelnik and Chuck Conley.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Middlefield VFW Post # 9678, 16013 East High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062

A Private Graveside Service will be held in Middlefield Cemetery.
