Betty Kompes Obituary
Betty M. Kompes, 88, of Newbury, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at UH Geauga Hospital. She was born on Valentines Day, February 14, 1934, in Fairchance, PA, to the late Leonard and Dorothy (Fisher) Cooley.
Betty loved her cats and flower gardening. She attended New Mercies Community Church in Burton, Ohio.
Betty will be great missed by her children Karen Kompes, Douglas McDougle, Mark (Lesley) McDougle, Tara Luzier, Paula (Lawrence) Burns, Marcy McDougle, sister Sherry Cooley-Zackar, grandchildren Jason, Sarah, Heather, Lauren, Shannon, Rory, Kristy, and great grandchildren Tessa, Jack, Jaxon, Domenic, Owen, Marley, Kendall, Caitlyn, and Madison.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Kompes, son, Larry McDougle, brother Ivan L. “Bud” Artis, sister Willa Mae Seaton, grandson Greg and great grandson Tiler.
Sly Family Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
