Betty Y Hershberger

Betty Y. Hershberger 68 of Mesopotamia passed away at her home Monday January 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born April 26, 1957, in Claridon to the late Joe Jay and Elizabeth (Hostetler) Yoder. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing.  Betty was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Jonas R. Hershberger, who she married April 12, 1979. Her children, Raymond (Lorena) Hershberger, Martha (James) Miller, Daniel (Susan) Hershberger, Maryann (Andrew) Miller, Betty (John) Gingerich, Melvin Hershberger, Jonathon (Barbara) Hershberger, Esther (Albert Wayne) Mast, her siblings, Andy (dec.) Nancy Yoder, David (dec.) Rachel Yoder, Emma (Jonas Jr.) Miller, Joe Jr. (dec.) Betty Yoder, Phineas (Katie Mae) Yoder, Melvin (Esther) Yoder, Martha (Sam) Hostetler. Grandchildren: 27, (2 deceased).  

Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 10000 N. Girdle Road, Mesopotamia, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday January 22, 2026, at home.  Burial will follow the service in Wilcox Cemetery in Mesopotamia, Ohio.
