On Wednesday December 28, 2022 Betty Daily went to her heavenly home after a short battle with cancer. She was born on May 28, 1953, in Searcy, Arkansas to Buster and Mary Lene Vincent. Betty married Grant Daily in June 1972 and was blessed with three children. A 1971 graduate of Newbury High School. In 1998 Betty was recognized in Who's Who Among America's Teachers as one who "made a difference". She received her Bachlor's Degree in Education from Athens State College and her Master's Degree in 2001. Betty had a gift for working with children. She stayed active and involved with her classroom students during the 25 years she was employed as a teacher with Cardinal Schools before retiring in 2015. She was also very involved with the children's ministries, traveling as far as Nicaragua and Honduras with her church to help lead in Vacation Bible School. Abundant Life Church was very dear to her heart. She was on the Worship Team and joyfully used her sign language skills as an expression of visual worship during the service.
Betty will be greatly missed by many including kin relatives, a church family, school family and a loving caring community family who watched over her.
She is survived by son, Army Brigade Commander Sergeant Major Gregg Daily currently serving in Honduras; daughter Lindsay Corbin (favorite son-in-law, Army Sergeant First Class Brian Corbin stationed at Fort Campbell, KY), grand-daughter Megan Daily of North Carolina, grandsons Brandon Daily of St. Robert, MO; Connor Corbin of TN; Andrew, Zachary and Luke Corbin all of Fort Campbell, KY. And a brother, Donald (Christine Stoops) Vincent of Warren, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Grant Daily and son Geoffrey Mark Daily.
Calling hours will be held Friday January 6, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM in the former Abundant Life Church of God Burton Chapel (Berkshire Elementary School Building), 13724 Carlton Drive, Burton, Ohio 44021, with Pastor Mike Continenza officiating.
