Barbara Ann (Bogel) Westover

Barbara Ann Westover 82 of Middlefield passed away Wednesday January 3, 2024, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Cleveland with her family at her side.  She was born April 15, 1941, in Barnesboro, PA to the late Harry and Mary E. (Duke) Bogel. Barbara graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 1959. She met the love of her life, Francis “Ed” Westover whom she married June 24, 1961. She was a Rural Letter Carrier for Middlefield Post Office for 33 years and was active in the family Janitorial Service Westover Cleaning. She enjoyed reading and traveling to all 50 states. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her three children, Robin (David) Carney, Edward (Janice) Westover, and Jeffery (Carla) Westover, seven grandchildren, Aaron (Jordan) Callahan - Carney, Marcus (Abigail) Carney, Melinda (Vince) Altiero, Chelsea (Justin) Laferriere, Alyssa Westover, Peter Westover, and Nora Westover, Five great grandchildren, Giada Altiero, Lincoln Laferriere, Amelia Carney, August Westover, and Camden Carney.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Sunday January 14, 2024, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062.  A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Mondy January 15, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Rd, Newbury, Ohio 44064, (Please Meet at Church) with Father Jay McPhillips officiating.  A private family burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery at a later date.
