Barbara Jean (Laubscher) Musgrave Jacobellis

Barbara Jean Jacobellis (Musgrave), age 78 formerly of Burton, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon. She was born in Painesville, Ohio, April 29, 1942, daughter of William and Esther Laubscher. Barbara started raising her family in Painesville, then in 1972 took the leap to a farm in Hunstburg, Ohio where she enjoyed living and working on the family farm. In 1976, she moved to Burton, Ohio and in 1977, Barbara co-owned and operated Master Pizza, which later became The Same Place Restaurant in Middlefield. She later married Stephen Jacobellis and moved to Oregon in 1987 where she loved camping, fishing, gardening and being outdoors in general. Her love for cooking was re-inspired with Steve as he loved to cook as well. In the early 90s, After being diagnosed and defeating breast cancer, she went back to college in 1996 and received her degree in Computer Science leading to a prominent position with Intel Corporation from which she later retired. Barbara was a devoted mother and loved being with her family. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Barbara is survived by her four loving children, David (Denise) Musgrave, Deborah “Rosebud” Coons, Christopher (Wendy) Musgrave and Catherine (Tim) George, her sister Patricia Lanhan, her beloved  grandchildren, Dustin (Megan), Daniel, Alexandra, Vanessa, Taylor (Camden) McGee, Brandon, Cameron, Summer, Aspen, Evan and Gabriella, two great grandchildren, Kendall and McKenna, and her former husband Theodore Musgrave.
