Barbara Ann Conner-Ramsey, Master Sergeant, USAF (RETIRED) 77 of Streetsboro passed away peacefully at home on 21 February 2026. She was born April 1, 1948, in Ottawa, Illinois to Charles Alva Conner and Laura Leona Henrietta (Kruft) Conner.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father Charles Conner, mother Laura Conner, sister Colleen Ardith Perkins, brother Loren Arlie (Butch) Conner, sister Alta Juanita (Totty) Ringer, sister Clara Belle Morris, and several brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Master Sergeant USAF (RETIRED) Bruce A Ramsey, their daughter Layla Louise Chambers (Phil), their son Bruce Alan Ramsey II (Arlene), their granddaughter Chelsea Louise Whitcomb (William Newton III), great grandchildren William Newton Whitcomb IV, and Lexi Louise Whitcomb.
Barbara is also survived by her brother Frederick Alva Conner, Bruce Conner (Mary Jo), sister Dee Ann Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara graduated from Flanagan Illinois high school. She briefly attended college in Omaha Nebraska. Barbara Enlisted in the US Air Force in 1969 Retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1991. Enjoyed years of ceramics, sewing and other arts and crafts, RV’ed full time for 15 years. She thoroughly enjoyed extensive travel of the US and the World. She was an animal lover who rescued many cats and dogs. Most of all she loved family.
A Celebration of her life will be held from 12:00-3:00 PM Sunday April 12, 2026, at her brother Bruce Conner’s home at 238 E. Church Street, Utica, Illinois 61273.
