Barbara Sue Allison, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 8, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born on July 17, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, to the late John Allen Church and Rosalee Opal (Rosencrance) Difford. She married the love of her life, Stanley R. Allison Jr., whom she met while attending Farmington High School.
Barbara worked for many years as a baker at Giant Eagle and was well known for the beautiful cakes she created for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones at cookouts and gatherings, and she loved dancing whenever she had the chance. Her warm spirit, generous heart, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jim (Betty) Allison of Bristolville, Tina Hatcher (James Sanders) of West Farmington, Kim Masaveg (Kai Adams) of Bristolville, and stepson Bobby Allison (Princesa) of Warren; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Swick of Champion and Debbie (John) Dale of West Farmington; and brothers John Church Jr. of Hubbard, Chuck (Cindy) Church of West Farmington, Bill (Tonya) Church of West Virginia, and Shawn (Kim) Difford of Bristolville.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley R. Allison Jr.; her daughter, Bobbi Sue; her stepfather; and her brothers, Timothy and Richard Church.
Calling hours will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery on State Route 88 in West Farmington.
