B Faye (Plumbley) Mihalisin

Faye Mihalisin, age 89 of Middlefield, Faye left for her heavenly home to join the love of her life for 70 years, her late husband Michael, and their beloved dog Tiki. Mike preceded her in death on December 12, 2020. She also was preceded by her parents, the late Clate Plumbley and Faith Clark Swaney.

Faye worked for Reynolds Insurance in Middlefield for 20 years and served on the Middlefield Board of Zoning Appeals for several years. She was a volunteer and auxiliary member for the Geauga Hospital for 30 years.

She loved to travel, and she and her husband visited Europe and the British Isles many times. Ireland was her favorite. They also toured all the United States except for Alaska. They spent the last 40 years wintering in Florida, first in Marathon and later in Bradenton at River Isles. Faye so much enjoyed their Bradenton Lunch Bunch and socializing with her many friends there. Other favorite pastimes both in Florida and at home in Middlefield included playing cards with friends, golfing, bowling, reading, and oil painting. A self-described “people person,” she often said she never met a stranger.

Left to cherish her memory: her children Michael G. (Donna) Mihalisin, Middlefield; Anita (John) Eltzroth, Chardon; and Linda Michaelson, Cleveland; grandchildren Alison (Christopher) Love, Auburn, Danielle (Bart) Morvilius, Concord; Michael Brandon Mihalisin and his fiancé Jennifer Wang, New York, NY; Dr. Marissa LoParo and her fiancé David Hudak, Chardon, and Christina LoParo, Cleveland; greatgrandchildren Issac Love, Avery Love, Brady Morvilius, Mackenzie Morvilius, Isabella Morvilius, and Lennon Faye Love; niece Teresa (Thomas) Ivanec; and step-brother Ike (Carol) Clark.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM with A Celebration of Life immediately following at 5:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062. Burial will be held at a later date in Middlefield Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, or to the Hospice of Western Reserve.
