Anthony J. Previte, 69, of Burton passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021, at UH Cleveland Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1952, in Cleveland to the late Joseph Anthony and Olga (DeBlasio) Previte. Anthony graduated from Eastlake North High School (Class of 1970) and from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was the owner/operator of the legendary State Road Convenient Food Mart on the west side of Cleveland. His business acumen and ability to think ahead of the curve earned him the moniker “Mr. Convenient”. He was a member of Parkside Church in Bainbridge where he taught Sunday School for many years. Anthony was also a revered baseball and basketball coach, regularly leading his squads to championship seasons. A life-long fan of the Cavs, Browns, and Indians. Anthony enjoyed his final years on the family boat, puffing a good cigar while his boys trolled for walleye on Lake Erie.
Anthony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Jean L. (Lampros) who he married October 15, 1978, sons, Joseph (Jaclyn), John (Amber), Jake (Kelsey) Jordan (Julia), Jared (Rachel), 2 grandsons, Johnny, Harrison (with 2 more grandsons on the way). He is also survived by his brother Michael D. (Carmela) Previte of Pepper Pike.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday December 28, 2021, from 11:00 AM until his Funeral Service which will be held at 1:00 PM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH. 44062. Burial will follow at Claridon Center Cemetery
