On May 23, 2025, the world lost a truly remarkable man. Andrew Mighton, known to many as a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 56. Raised in Claridon, Ohio, Andrew lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished most.
Surviving Andrew are, his devoted parents, Arvin and Elaine Mighton, his loving wife, Lisa Mighton, their cherished children: Andrew (AJ) Mighton, Samantha Mighton (fiancé Ryan Phillips), and Sydney (Mighton) Grabinski (husband Samuel Grabinski), best fur buddy Duke, brothers Anthony, Arthur (wife Pam), Arvin Jr (wife Leslie), Adam (wife Tammie), and an abundance of nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love, kindness, and integrity.
Andrew's journey with his beloved wife, Lisa, began when they were just 14 years old as high school sweethearts. Theirs is a love story that spanned 42 years, including 34 blissful years of marriage. They have been inseparable from day one and have been a perfect example of true unwavering love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising three wonderful children: AJ, Samantha, and Sydney. Andrew's love for his family was boundless, and he took immense pride in being a devoted husband and father, always putting his family's needs above his own.
Known for his unwavering work ethic, Andrew was often referred to as the hardest worker in the world. Andrew worked at Monroe Plumbing since 1988, first as a plumbing laborer, and working his way up to Project Manager for the company. He poured his heart into everything he did, whether it was his professional endeavors or the countless hours he spent fixing and caring for others and anything that needed his attention. Andrew's intelligence and resourcefulness were legendary, as there seemed to be nothing he couldn't figure out or repair. Andrew loved being active, relaxing in his pool, he looked forward to his annual family vacation on Hilton Head Island, and countless getaways with Lisa. Time spent with his entire family was everything to him.
Andrew's selflessness extended beyond his immediate family to his entire community. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support and care to everyone around him. His quick wit and humor brought joy to those who knew him, and his presence was a source of comfort and laughter.
Our dad, mom’s one and only love of her life, the most handsome man in the world, Andrew Mighton, will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we gather to celebrate Andrew's life, we invite family and friends to join us in remembering the joy he brought to our lives. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the memories of Andrew's laughter, his unwavering dedication, and the love he so freely gave.
The date and time for the celebration of his life at Sly Funeral Home in Middlefield, Ohio will be Wednesday, June 4th from 3:00-8:00pm.
