Alice (Cooper) Pitts

Alice Pitts, a resident of Newbury for 62 years, left her earthly home to fly with the angels on May 31, 2020. She was born to parents, Louise M.(nee Kinsey) Cooper Nelson and George K. Cooper (both deceased) on August 6, 1933.
Alice is survived by her daughter Valerie Pitts, “son” Vince Rottura, sister Louann (nee Cooper) Hites, brothers, Kenneth Cooper and Howard Cooper and her faithful cat companions, Buddy and BF. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Pitts, sister Lucy (nee Cooper) Sloan and brothers Gerald Cooper and William Cooper. Alice loved decorating her home that was built alongside the love of her life, Tom, in 1958 with the help of family and friends. She was an avid gardener, making the grounds of her home an oasis for birds and wildlife as well as a welcome place for family and friends to gather. Alice loved people and welcomed all with a kind and open heart. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
