Alice L. (Collins) Newcomer

Alice Newcomer, 85, of Middlefield, formally of Florida, passed away with her family by her side early Monday morning, May 6, 2024, at Ohman Family Living at Blossom.

Alice was born on December 13, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Alva and Frances (Nowlin) Collins. She was one of 10 children, and they grew up in Geauga County. In Florida she was a supervisor at Piccadilly Restaurant and when she moved back to Middlefield, she worked at Walmart and Maggie’s Donuts.

Alice loved visiting casinos, fishing, and flower gardens. And if you knew Alice, you know she loved the color red and red flowers.

Alice will be greatly missed by her family, her daughters Leaine Quinn, and Tina Barsch, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother, Bill Collins, sisters Mary Thompson and Pat Collins, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Other then her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Newcomer, daughter Elaine Trujillo, sisters Bo Bryson and Jean Seiler, and brothers Johnny Collins, Raymond Collins, Elmer Collins and Gary Collins.

Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 4:00-5:00 PM with the Memorial Service immediately following at 5:00 PM. at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street Middlefield, with Chaplin Steven Brown officiating.
