Alfred E. Shew

Alfred Edward Shew 90 of North Bloomfield passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024, at Burton Health Care.  He was born on December 17, 1933, in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert Owen and Dorothy (Fry) Shew. Alfred was a member of the North Bloomfield Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed farming, working on different types of motors, faming and woodworking.  He worked for the Ford Motor Company, Walton Hills Stamping Plant, from 1954 until he retired in 1996   

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Sue Ann Shew, children, John (Janet) Shew, Jody (Alan) Kasey, Tammy (Steve) Savage, Edwin (Peggy) Snodgrass, Michael (Sheri) Snodgrass, Christopher Snodgrass, sister, Mary Helen Headley, brothers, Owen Shew, Robert McElwee, his daughter-in-law, Darlene (Ron) Shew-Nicholas, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Alfred Edward Shew Jr, Kenneth Shew, brother, James Shew, sisters, Vaughn Sims, Ruth Merriner, and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Shew.  

Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 26, 2024 at the North Bloomfield Assembly of God Church, 2079 Kinsman Rd NW, North Bloomfield, OH 44450, from 1:00 PM until his Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. Pastor Jason Banar will be officiation.  He will be laid to rest in Brownwood Cemetery at a later date.
