Albert was born on June 1, 1953, in Chardon, Ohio, to the late Leslie and Ann (Nolan) Smith. He grew up in North Bloomfield and graduated from high school in 1972.

Music was one of Albert's greatest passions. A talented musician, he played in several bands throughout his life, including .30-06 and Shades of Gray. He found joy in sharing his love of music with others and creating lasting memories through his performances. Albert was also a faithful attendee of Howland UMC and Believers Church.

Albert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his significant other, Maria Gifford; his children, David Smith, Chris (Ellen) Smith, Brian Smith, Katelin Borucki (Nick), and Rebecca Smith; his grandchildren, Piper, Joshua, Cora, Devin, Alyssa, Corbin, Gavin, and Riley; several great-grandchildren; his brothers, Butch (Holly) Smith and Ray (Wendy) Smith; his sister, Janet Marsteller; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Smith.

Albert's family will cherish his memory and the love, laughter, and music he brought into their lives.
