William “Willie” John Wynn, age 62, long time resident of Mesopotamia, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. Born on June 23, 1957 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late William John and Charlotte (Brennan) Wynn. He was a 1975 graduate of Crestwood High School and East Side Vocational School in Mountain Top, PA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1981. Willie married Rhonda Adams July 21, 1979. They moved to Mesopotamia in 1988. He was a truck driver for BFG and retired from M.S. Carriers as a transportation specialist, where he had 2 million safe miles. He then worked for Philip Miller Construction. He was a volunteer fireman in Mountain Top and in Burton, Ohio. His greatest love was his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
William is survived by his beloved wife Rhonda Wynn of 40 years, three daughters, Chenette S. (Craig) Hart, Stephanie R. (Brian) Garling, and Nicole L. (Jeremy) Hamilton, ten grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Giulianna, Charlotte, Tristen, Preston, Abram, Hudson, Olivia, and Madison, his sister Mary Ann (James) O’Brien, and two brothers, Michael and Thomas Wynn. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pamela Rinehimer.
Calling hours will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve.
