Richard Donald Lorenczi, age 76 of Okeechobee, Fl, formerly of Claridon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at UH Ahuja Medical Center. He was in Ohio with his wife Patricia, visiting family.
Richard was born on December 16, 1942 in Painesville, Ohio, son of Joseph and Bertha (Linghl) Lorenczi. He married Patricia Skiba in 1965. They lived in Claridon, Ohio before moving to Florida, 16 years ago. He was an electrician and worked in maintenance for PCC Airfoils. Richard loved to camp and be around family. He loved to cook and loved old westerns. He was a 4-H advisor for the horse program and horse shows.
In Okeechobee, Florida, he was a member of “Citizens on Patrol.” They were the “eyes and ears” of the community, doing safety checks, and being the neighborhood watch. He was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church and loved his “church family.”
He will be missed dearly, by his family and friends. You never doubted how much he loved you.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife Patricia of 54 years, two daughters, Shelly (Danny) Michener and Stacy (Randy) McClelland, five grandchildren, his brother Joe Lorenczi and his sister Betty Roll, numerous nephews and two nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Zolton Lorenczi.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 - 9:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Burton Century Village in the Bond Building, 14653 East Park St., Burton, OH 44021.
