Richard Hardin Obituary

Richard G. Hardin, 76 of Claridon Twp., passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Heather Hill. He was born August 21, 1943 in Cleveland to the late George D. and Olga (Shimrak) Hardin.  He was owner of H and H Auto Body in Newbury, Ohio.  He retired and started painting homes and taxied Amish crews. In his younger years, Rich was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing, circle car racing, and Figure 8 racing. He was a member of the NRA and loved spending time with his family. 

 

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Wanda (Frame) Hardin whom he married March 23, 1979. His children, John (Christal Clefford) Hardin, Janice Tench, Allen Beran, Rick (Beth) Beran, 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Cierra, Donny, Ryan, Melony, Justin, 6 great grandchildren, sister, Jackie McKimmie, and a brother, Buddy (Judy) Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

 

Calling hours will be held Thursday October 24, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH 44062. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Funeral Home Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM followed by a burial in East Claridon Cemetery, Claridon Township, Ohio.  Donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
