Randolph “Randy” Lee Bean, age 60 lifetime resident of Mesopotamia, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on October 29, 1958 in Chardon, son of Robert and Alice (Burge) Bean. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. Randy worked for Centerra Lumber and Country Store (formerly Western Reserve) for years. He always enjoyed telling a joke and loved to golf. He hit two “hole in one’s” at Bristolwood Golf Course and received two plaques. He was an avid reader of the Authors: Clive Cussler, James Patterson, and Lee Childs. He loved the Beatles, puzzles, and collected model classic cars and tractors. But his greatest love was his devoted wife Crystal (Niles) Bean of 32 years and his family. He will be missed dearly.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife Crystal, his loving mother Alice Bean, his brother and two sisters, John Bean, Lisa (Bill) Brode, Debby (Al) Miller, his father-in-law Richard Niles, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Bean and his mother-in-law Sally A. Niles.
Calling hours will be 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, Ohio 44062.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday in the Chapel at Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Funeral Home to defray the cost of the funeral.
