David Wayne Wolfe, 67, of Williamsfield, Ohio, passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at UH Ahuja Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1952 to Wayne and Mary (Dennis) Wolfe. After graduating from High School, he served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge. David was an oil rig worker for Rose Run Drilling and retired in 2008. He has been ‘hanging and hauling’ ever since. He loved boating on The Red Baron with his grandsons and first mate Matthew. He enjoyed playing poker, hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan. He will be truly missed.
David is survived by his loving wife Verna (Stotts)Wolfe, nine children, Bill (Shanea Morris) Wolfe, Angel Wolfe, David Wolfe Jr., Kelly Wolfe, Tiffany (Shawn Scalise) Wolfe, Ronnetta (Chris) Kountz, William (Tassee) Torreance, John (Megan) Torreance, and Madeleine (John Jr.) Socha, two brothers, Charles and Michael Wolfe, his sister Connie Raymond, 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Ted (Connie Gearheart) Harless, a sister-in-law, Darla (Dave) Jarvis, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Susan Wolfe and Cynthia Mae Wolfe.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00 pm at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062.
