Chet Edward Carlson

Chet Edward Carlson, age 40 of Middlefield passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.  He was born on November 2, 1978 in Chardon to Cheryl A. (Osiecki) Gecik and the late Terry L. Carlson.

Chet was a graduate from Cardinal High School and went on to graduate with a degree from the Pittsburgh Culinary Art School. His joy and passion was in the kitchen creating food experiences and in his free time he enjoyed computer life and the outdoors.  Chet had a brilliant mind and blessed many by the gift of his food. He was kind and gentle. He will be greatly missed.

Chet is survived by his loving family, beloved mother Cheryl Gecik, the late father, Robert J. Gecik and the late father, Terry L. Carlson. The brother of Deanna (Scott) Ness, Shawn (Rachael) Carlson, Mary Margaret (Logan) Beam and the late Ryan Carlson. Grandson of the late Chet & Betty Osiecki, Van & Josephine Carlson and George & Mary Gecik. Uncle of 11 nieces and nephews... Summer & Avari Carlson, Ethan, Ember, Elanna, Emery, Ella & Charlie Ness, MayPearl & Annabelle Carlson and Eli Beam.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 10th at 10:30am St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 16280 Kinsman Rd. (Rt 87), Middlefield. VISITATION Tuesday, July 9th 4-7pm AT SLY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 15670 WEST HIGH ST. (RT. 87)
