Carol Ann Baker, 73 of Mesopotamia passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Middlefield, with her family by her side. She was born on September 1, 1946 in Cleveland, daughter of Hyman and Josephine (Gibbons) Levy. Carol married Edwin Baker on Oct. 8, 1966. They lived in Bedford Heights and moved to Mesopotamia in 1975. They were married 48 years before he died in 2015. “They are together again”. Carol loved taking care of her seven children at home and making crafts and her delicious cookies for the yearly Christmas in the Barn. She enjoyed canning, scrapbooking, and watching Fox News. Her biggest joy and light of her life was her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her loving children, three daughters, Suzie (Todd) Campbell, Elizabeth (Erik) Revak, and Rachel Baker, four sons, Tim Baker, Joseph Baker, Michael Baker and John Baker; 15 grandchildren, her brother Daniel (Becky) Levy and two sisters, Kathleen Fogos and Denise Hill. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edwin and her parents.
A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held at 1:00 PM with a Gathering of Family and Friends from 11:00 – 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High Street, Middlefield, OH 44062. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd., Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.
