Adele Sohm “Baba”, 89 of Parkman, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2019. She was born on March 6, 1930 to Anton and Barbara Vitu. She married William Sohm Jr. in May of 1949 and lived in Bedford before moving to Parkman in 1974. Adele thoroughly enjoyed and loved running Shangri-La Water Ski Club in Parkman; where you could find her driving the boat, coaching skiers, or chitchatting with everyone. Adele had one of the biggest hearts and was known as “Everybody’s Mom”. She enjoyed cooking (especially soup), reading, watching sunsets and dogs. She was a long time EMT for Parkman Fire Department. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Adele is survived by her daughter Pam (Rod) Zeigler, grandchildren, Chelsea Zeigler, Brooke (Sam) Raeburn, Molly Zeigler, Maria Sohm and Michelle Sohm, great grandchildren, Carter, Willow, and Griffin Raeburn and many close nieces and nephews; also Marcie who has always been by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, her sons Billy and Mike Sohm, her sisters Ann Petro, Helen Novak and her brothers, Eddy and Laddy Vitu.
Calling hours will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 from 4:00-7:30 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:30 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062.
