Minter J. Prunty, 92, of Chardon Ohio, went on to be with the Lord on January 9, 2024, at Ohman Family Living at Briar in Middlefield, Ohio.
Minter was born on April 25, 1931, to the late Minter G. and Viola Mae (Heckert) Prunty in Troy, West Virginia. He graduated from Troy High School and later married his soulmate Cora Mae (Miller). Minter joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He went on to work at the Donaldson Company in Bedford Heights, Ohio for 40 years, retiring in 1993.
Minter attended Hambden Congregational church. Some of his interests were fishing, gardening, baking AND eating cookies, walking and watching western movies on TV. His very favorite thing was to spend time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family, daughter, Barbara Hill, daughter in law Rose Prunty, sister Luella Harrasyn and brother Ronald Prunty, sister-in-law Clara Young, along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cora Mae, and his sons Harold and Alan Prunty, and 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Hambden Congregational Church, 13840 US Rt. 6 Chardon, Ohio at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kyle Boone officiating.
He will be laid to rest with his wife at a private burial at Mapleview Cemetery in Burton, Ohio.
